Price for cigarettes in Montenegro

There is a law prohibitting smoking in Montenegro as well as in other countries. It’s the same. The only difference is that Montenegro is one of the leaders among the countries with a great number of smoking people. That’s why it’s more difficult to fight against this problem here.

Not recently the law prohibitting smoking in restaurants, cafes and bars has been brought in. It reduced their income almost twice.

Many tourists ask if they can smoke on the beaches. It’s prohibitted by the law but actually police is not so serious about this. Tourists will not be fined, they will just receive a warning. There are no special places for smoking in this country like other European countries have. People smoke on the streets. Fine for residents is from 30 to 45 dollars.

The price for cigarettes is much lower in this country in comparison with European Union. Cigarettes cost from 2 to 4,5 dollars. This country has a wide variety of tobacco brands. So you will not have any problems to find cigars. Adult person can import only 1 block of cigarettes.
